Canon Ixus 120is

I have blogged about this camera on my main blog OurManInside.com

I though I'd better post something there as it has been seriously neglected since Posterous came along.

Cold Mountain

It's VloMo09 - National Vloggers Month 2009. The idea is to post one video every day in November.

I have somehow managed to post 14 videos over the 12 days so far. I am amazed I have managed to get this far. I am exhausted though.. With all this work and play there is not much time for rest.

This video reflects my mood at the end of the day today. The end of a hard but very satisfying stint of work.

I shot this on a Canon Ixus 120is and manipulated the clip in imovie.

The Musician is a friend of mine.

Home Is Where The Tech Is

I have always had to have some kind of tech with me when in the outdoors. Even if it is a compass or a fancy multi-tool. It's more than just being prepared.

I could live without it but it goes a hell of a long way to making any trip or adventure more 'comfortable'.

In this case a home comfort for me tends to be tech related. I can feel at home anywhere, especially if I have a bag full of tech. To eat, sleep or communicate with.

Light the blue touch paper and stand well back

Last night is a bit of a blur. I remember It was a great party with family and friends. I remember fireworks and great food and drink. Too much drink.

I imagine I will be reminded of the smaller details when I review the video.. Oh yes. There's lots of video.

Into Knoydart (part 2)

We arrive on the Knoydart peninsular and head into the woods to make camp before visiting the UK's most remote pub. The Old Forge. Whilst in there, I get chatting to a Stalker.

This is part two of our trip

Hungerbytes!

The UN World Food Programme are looking for vloggers to take part in their international video competition entitled Hungerbytes!

They hold the competition every year in partnership with Youtube. It's open to all but you have to be 18 to claim the prize of a trip into the field to witness the work that's being done to help chronically hungry people. (Last year 3 girls travelled to Ethiopia and visited one of the agency’s largest food assistance operations.

If you feel you can create a hard hitting, provocative youtube video that makes people think about hunger issues, check out the information at: Hungerbytes! to enter.

This year, for the first time ever, the number of chronically hungry people crossed the 1 billion marker. The chronically hungry have stunted growth of both the body and the mind. Many will die.

If you don't feel like entering why not just spread the word? I think this is a great use of social media to raise awareness of Hungerbytes! and ultimately, hopefully change lives for the better.

The Youtube channel with submitted videos can be found here: Hungerbytes! Youtube

The M1 - 50 Years Old today.

I have a soft spot for both the M1 and Watford Gap. I know.. it's just a road. Still, I have spent more than a few days of my life on the M1 and must have downed a vat of coffee in all my visits to the Watford Gap services.

Today I walked under the M1 and recorded an AudioBoo..
